To help the future of tomorrow, it is important to ensure they understand their past. Better Together is funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, which brings senior citizens from the Windrush generation and young people with black heritage/migrant status together to talk about experiences of migration from the Windrush generation to today.

Better Together starts in June and consists of workshops and meetings concluding with an event of performing arts in October at the Curve. The event includes an exhibition that shows photos of the project sessions and photographs of the senior citizens in their younger years. There will be timelines on display of senior citizens and their migration journey and paintings that they’ve drawn.
