Grant funding

Many of our projects are fully funded by grants. This means we can offer services at no cost to the people taking part.

Current funders include BBC Children In Need, Leicester City Council, Awards for All and The Race Equality Centre Leicester & Leicestershire.

Donations

We also receive donations from organisations and individuals. This enables us to invest in developing new ideas and pay our core running costs. You can donate through our page at Wonderful.org.

We have been supported in previous years by TSB, and staff at their Horsefair Street branch organised fundraising events on our behalf. We also brought our community choirs to sing in the branch at Christmas and at a summer fundraising event.

Partnerships

Working together with other organisations is great way for us to reach more people and do more and better work.

  • We are an Associate Company at Curve and our community choirs enjoy weekly rehearsals and regular performances in their amazing theatre (in non-Covid times).
  • We have a partnership agreement with DeMontfort University, which has created links to academic staff, student bodies and their events team. Kainé and DMU are working together on events for young people, and developing recruitment and retention strategies for BAME students in Higher Education.
